Writing the manuscript was only the first step. Now you need to make sure the text is as polished as possible before sending it off to possible publishers who are flooded with submissions and thus looking for any excuse to reject your work. Let me be your second set of eyes to help eliminate the most common issues. Check out my editing services below.

If you are an indie publisher, you still need to make sure your book looks as good or better than titles put out by the major publishers. Through my formatting services I will make sure your book looks amazing on every page. If you’re looking for cover design I have a handful of preferred professionals that I work with regularly I can recommend.

A Manuscript Assessment is for writers who need feedback on their work as a whole. With this service, I provide a two-page general summary containing strengths and weaknesses along with targeted feedback designed to help improve the work.

$0.025/word

In a Line Edit, I go through your manuscript looking for issues at the line level. This includes spelling, grammar, punctuation, inconsistencies, and more.

Once complete, I provide a copy of your manuscript with inline comments as well as a one-page general overview of my findings.

$0.03/word

In a developmental edit, I provide feedback on content, style, and language use including:

information redundancies
run-on sentences
dialogue or prose that can be tightened
confusing or unclear meaning
shifts in tone
awkward phrasing
and more…

I also provide notes on story elements such as:

plot
theme
pacing
genre and tropes
characterization
and much more…

Once complete, I provide a copy of your manuscript with inline comments as well as a 2500+ word letter detailing an overview of my findings.

Starting at $50

The Express Format is for basic manuscripts that require minimal custom formatting and contain few images. This package is great for indie authors on a budget preparing their book for Amazon KDP or other indie publishing providers.

Once complete, I provide both PDF and .epub files you will need.

Note: I will work with you to get your cover ready for print-on-demand (POD) publishing services for an additional fee.

Starting at $150

The Custom Format is for manuscripts that are more complex. This includes books with:

text with special formatting
non standard front and back matter
a lot of graphics
endnotes and footnotes
title pages with customized elements
poetry
pages with multiple columns of text
text wrapped around graphics
and more…
